Pride Paddle 2025

Details
Hi All,
A change of plans for this year’s Pride Paddle, something a little more informal & hopefully even more fun 🏳🌈🏳🌈
We’ll run it this year to coincide with the main Pride Parade while we cheer it on from the water 🥳
That’s the 28th June with the Parade due to set off at 12.30, meaning we’ll need to paddle down from our usual spot (the Poolbeg Yacht club slip ramp) by 11.45 to ensure that we’re in front of the Custom House & the Talbot Memorial Bridge where the parade crosses the river.
We can paddle up & down to O’Connell Bridge (the Parade start point) as we want on the day.
Unlike the previous years, we will run this year as a ‘Peer Paddle’ which means it will *not* be a ticketed event.
It’s likely to be a bit more boisterous and playful both on & off the water. So as a precaution this year’s Pride Paddle will *not be open to beginners / non-paddlers.*
Everyone will have to bring their own boats, SUPs & equipment etc.
Apologies to any non-paddlers who would like to have attended. Once we see what this parallel event runs like – we’ll hope to offer it to a wider experience range next year.
High tide is at 14.39 so we should have a gentle push upriver to get us into position.
Please pass along to anyone & everyone you think would be interested, and please also join the Pride Paddle 2025 whatsapp group.
