Open Water Swim at Hawk Cliff

Wet & Wild is a friendly LGBTQ+ outdoor pursuits club. Each Tuesday evening during the summer months a sea swim/dip meetup is organised at a variety of locations in the Dublin area.

The venue for this swim is HAWK CLIFF, off Vico Road in Dalkey. We will meet there at 19:20. It is about a 15 minute walk from Dalkey Dart station.

Do I need to be an experienced swimmer?
You need to be comfortable getting into water deeper than you can stand in. This is a FUN dip in the Irish Sea! If you want to be in and out in 5 seconds, that's totally fine. For more experienced and
acclimatised swimmers there will be an option of swimming out to buoys. Whatever you want to do, there'll be someone to do it with. Wet suits are optional.

We recommend you bring a warm layer of clothing to put on when you get out of the water.

Also you may wish to bring along a flask of tea or other beverage or snack to enjoy after. If the weather is any way reasonable (which it is due to be), we usually don't rush off after.
