Ok the details are falling in place for this Annual Shell Island Camp Out event.

This was going to be with other meetup groups, but the planning fell through so we've decided to do this ourselves. Perhaps this is best, now we don't have to worry about other groups rules holding us back and can do it the "Wet Dog Way."

We'll have several survivor type challenges

with members broken up into teams of four or more. You're welcome to put together a team of your friends or we'll assign you to a team. Remember if you invite your friends, they can be your guests or they can sign up as Wet Dog members.

There will be a red, yellow, green, and blue team challenge race. Afterwords a large potluck cookout, (We'll need to know what you'd like to bring.) Please put what you'd like to bring in your rsvp message. At night we'll have a large bon fire, a midnight beach walk to name a few activities. Kayak rentals are available for this trip.

Itinerary for Saturday:

We'll meetup at Sawyer Key put-in at 10 am and then paddle out across azure blue flats to that Salty Piece of land called Shell Island.

Once on the island we'll set up camp and hang out to get to know everyone a little better. Note:Bring a Lunch to eat on the island. The rest of the day will be filled with a a series of fun, team Kayak Challenges including a scavenger hunt and final showdown, followed by a group potluck dinner and fire. Beginners and up welcome.

Team Challenge:

The team challenge is going to consist of four teams of four or more members. ie red, blue, green and yellow. Each team must complete a series of five challenges to receive three map pieces that will aid them in searching for their teams pirate puzzles that once put together will reveal the final challenge.

Now we can't reveal everything, but these challenges will contain,

diving for a message in a bottle, creative paddling, building something, digging up something, map reading andworking together as a team including some outside the box thinking to even things up a bit.

Note:The winning team will not necessarily be determined by paddling or running skill, so if you're not into running no worries, you'll have a chance to help your team with your mind as well.

We'll eat breakfast (your own) and hang on the beach, then pack up and paddle to our cars. Once we're all packed up we'll meetup at Billy's Stone Crab in "The Crow's Nest" for lunch.

We have 17 rsvps as of Tuesday, Feb 2nd, so we're hoping to get 20 or more people, so tell your friends about this original event.

Cost: $20 if bringing your own kayak. (covers expenses to put this event together)
$55 if renting a kayak from us. (Includes all kayaking gear) Please click the paypal link and put in the appropriate amount that pertains to you. If not a member of paypal just sign up as a guest and pay that way. If any questions please call us at 727-235-1959 this is the hotline number for Wet Dog Adventures.

25% off cost (for "Wet Dog Supporters". Check out the About page to become a "Wet Dog Supporter" and take advantage of the awesome benefits now including a FREE KAYAK drawing)

Start signing up now to reserve your spot!
If you are rsvp'd and need a kayak rental put that in your rsvp so we'll know.

Sorry about the late notice on things, but we just got back from the Everglades and had lots to do to get back to normal and get this trip up and going.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
