In 2023, Gib and his wife, Kristen Hege, hiked the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, from the Mexican border to Canada, along the peaks of the Sierra and Cascade Mountains. Gib’s talk reflects on their adventure, drawing parallels to the management and leadership challenges of fast-paced tech companies– and your career.

About the speaker
Gibson Biddle was the VP of Product at Netflix, starting in 2005. In 2010, he joined Chegg, an edtech startup, which he helped to take public in 2014. Since then, Gib has taught entrepreneurship and product strategy at Stanford and INSEAD, was the “Exec in Residence” for NerdWallet and Life360, and writes a popular, “Ask Gib” Substack product newsletter. He also teaches Product Strategy on three edtech platforms: Section, Maven, and Teachable. Gib and his wife moved to Bend in 2021.
