What we’re about
I have special needs so making friends is hard. So this is my way of throwing things I like at the wall to see what sticks. Or maybe just keep doing the same thing over and over again like a crazy person, which would not surprise me.
You might recognise this profile in yourselves: leftish, sensitive to noise and crowd (actually external stimuli in general, including movement), neither drinks nor does sports, not easily satisfied with most art and historical exhibitions, utterly unimpressed with the food scene in Stockholm, and extraordinarily bad at relating to people in free-form events.
Let's hang out. I'm nice. Probably anyway. Come on, take the risk, what could go wrong? Nothing! 😊
Let me know if you have an idea for an event. We could try it out if it also fits me. I'm already paying for this anyway.
Please do not rate this group and its events. I do not want to think about this kind of shit. Not even sure why I'm paying for my own abuse tbh.

See all- how to boycott, divest, and sanction in tech?Kallarbyn, Stockholm
i don't know how to do bds in tech. maybe you do?
is it possible to do it now or do we need to build some stuff to help do it?
in particular i want to look at:
- where to host my apps with good ci/cd, etc?
- is the fediverse suitable for social media? if yes, how do we move people there? if no, is there an alternative?
maybe this event is not for everyone. but us in tech, we need to know. thanks for understanding.
you don't have to come to this event to talk about this. text me directly if you want to chat. it's so important.
research
nothing on the bds movement site. nothing found via search engines.
the most relevant material seems to be whatever aligns with the sovereign infrastructure movement, but it's not the same. here's one sovereign infra discussion prompted by the recent usa madness. in particular, some people in the thread say they use gickup to mirror their repos from github to other platforms, e.g. codeberg. this could be a nice interim strategy.
possible strategies
here's a list of eu-based vps providers. i haven't looked at whether or not they explicitly support ending genocide. we could research them and other providers, maybe from southeast asia and elsewhere?
use k8s to make it easier to shift from one provider to another the moment we find out a provider is bad? this will require SO MUCH WORK. not sure how sustainable but we could try in the absence of anything better.
venue
we can do this either remotely or in person.
if remote, text me directly and let me know you wanna chat. we can use whatever platform. signal, discord, etc.
if in person: Usually few or nobody comes. So, because I don't want to make a wasted trip, please do not just register on meetup. If you are really, really coming, text me directly to tell me. Then we can figure out a venue. I will come out if at least one person wants to do this. Else I will be lazing comfortably at home, thank you very much.
hope to see you!
