HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!!!
As Per Usual, I'm always on the hunt for new Venues, and this is one that Theo recommended...Explore this 7.4-mile point-to-point trail near Winter Haven, Florida. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 12 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash...

This is a relatively new trail at Marshall Hampton Reserve. The trail takes visitors along pastures, swamps, and the shore of Lake Hancock. There are many opportunities to view wildlife and local flowers along the way. This is a beautiful trail covered in Spanish moss with grazing cattle, and calves. The trail is a mix of short stretches of sand, mowed grass, and gravel.

I plan to make this a 15 mile out and back, but we live by the creed "Hike Your Way", so at any point, Members can turn back, and based on past history, there will be enough Members available that no-one will have to return alone...Another option is to arrive early and stage cars if anyone is interested in doing the full point to point.

I recommend comfortable walking/hiking shoes, Deep Woods bug spray, sunscreen, lots of fluids for hydration, snacks/food, and your spirit of adventure and fellowship...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!

If you need to cancel, PLEASE change your RSVP from "YES" to "NO". We realize things can change and it's not a big deal if you change your RSVP. Thank you...If you arrive late, now worries, just Call or text (689) 203-5116 for location of the Group...JAP3
