So Nice We Have to Do It Twice...Sams House & Pine Island

Details
****THE MOSQUITOS IN THE SECTION OF THE HIKE ARE MORE VICIOUS THAN NAVY SEAL TEAM 6...PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SPRAY AND/OR COVER UP MOST AREAS OF SKIN...I PLAN TO WEAR MY MOSQUITO SUIT TOP****
***Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate...Keep In Mind That We Are In The Rainy Season And The Trails May Be Wet/Muddy!!!
We enjoyed this Venue, but decided to visit from a different entrance...Some of the highlights were the Flying Fish, the Swampy Boardwalk, and the Sam's House Area (Check out the pictures from Wednesday 7/9/25)...
This 880-acre conservation area provides access to the trailhead 0.5 mile from main entrance leading to over 7 miles of trails...These moderate walks lead through pine flatwoods and hydric hammock habitats, as well along the restored Saltmarsh habitats. Hikers will also see cabbage palm hammocks and hardwood hammocks, with mangrove forests and marshes fringing the Indian River Lagoon...The interior marsh ponds and borrow lakes make great spots for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing...
I recommend comfortable walking/hiking shoes, Deep Woods bug spray, sunscreen, fluids for hydration, snacks/food, an umbrella/hat, and your spirit of adventure and fellowship, but we do live by the creed "Hike Your Way"...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!
If you need to cancel, please change your RSVP from "YES" to "NO". We realize things can change and it's not a big deal if you change your RSVP to avoid the "No-Show"...Thank you...JAP3
