The trail that we will follow is a 9'ish miles out and back, but As Per Usual, those wanting shorter distances can turn back at a comfortable location as the trail is pretty straight forward and easy to navigate. There are multiple trails, so those of us who crave additional miles will be able to continue to explore.

This is a State Park, so expect to pay a fee unless you are a pass-holder. We begin/meet in the parking lot of the Visitors Center, which is all the way in the back of the park; about a mile from the main entrance. If you would like to carpool, please send me a message.

On previous trips we have encountered American bison and wild horses. It is important to remember that while they can appear tame, they are wild animals and are unpredictable. Use caution and always stay at least 75 feet away.

I recommend comfortable walking/hiking shoes, Deep Woods bug spray, sunscreen, fluids for hydration, snacks/food, and your spirit of adventure and fellowship, but we do live by the creed "Hike Your Way"...Be ready to get fresh air, exercise, engage in diverse conversations, and make some new Connections!!

If you need to cancel, please change your RSVP from "YES" to "NO". We realize things can change and it's not a big deal if you change your RSVP. I look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces...
