Crestone Needle

My favorite mountain in the world — Crestone Needle, the one, the only.

This hike keeps getting more steep as you go, all the way until a fairly vertical “wall” at the very very top. Absolutely incredible, insane adventure.

This is one of those hikes where if you slip and fall at the wrong place, it could be fatal. So please only sign up if you’ve at least got some solid class 3 experience. That being said, I’m deeply devoted to keeping anybody who signs up for one of my trips safe and happy. I’ll do everything I can to make sure you’re okay out there 😎

PS: My beloved truck is old enough, it’s not qualified to do Old South Colony Lakes Road. If someone wants to sign up who has a jeep ready for a nasty bumpy road, we can take the usual route from Old South Colony Lakes Trailhead. If not, then we’ll be taking the Cottonwood Creek trail instead.

We’ll see who signs up and decide which trailhead to meet at based on that.
