Putting together a small group to climb Capitol Peak. I currently have three additional camping spots reserved at Capitol Lake for Thursday, July 2. The plan is to backpack in on Thursday to camp at the lake, summit push on Friday, and pack out the same day.

Please note: Capitol Peak is a demanding and potentially dangerous climb, recommended only for experienced and well-prepared climbers who understand the objective risks involved. It is 17 miles return, with 5300ft gain, and Class 4 climbing - this is not an entry-level outing. [Please see the 14ers.com description here.](https://www.14ers.com/route.php?route=capi1)

This listing is just a placeholder for now — more details will follow as logistics are finalized. With this year's snowpack currently low, an early-July climb could be ok.

If you’re interested, please add yourself to the waitlist so I can gauge interest and share updates. This event will be put on multiple meet-up groups.
