Do Good Volunteer Days – Garden Clearing & Compost Basket Finishing
Hosted by: Where Friends Grow Club
Date: 2nd August 10am- 4pm (please try to arrive at 10am)
Location: St John’s Community Kitchen Garden, Hoxton, London
This August, lend a hand in giving back to nature and the neighbourhood with another rewarding Do Good Volunteer Day!
We’ll be focusing on clearing garden trimmings and green waste, giving the garden a seasonal tidy-up. But the best part? These materials won’t go to waste—they’ll be taken to the local park, where they’ll be used to help build bug hotel corridors, boosting biodiversity in the area.
At the same time, we’ll be finishing off the woven compost basket—a beautiful, functional addition to the garden that the whole community can use to manage waste more sustainably.
Here’s what you’ll be getting involved in:
🌿 Clearing trimmings from the garden🐞 Delivering materials to a local park for use in bug hotels🧺 Finishing and shaping the community compost basket🤝 Working alongside neighbours and volunteers for a greener space
As always, there will be tea, cookies, and time to chat and unwind with others throughout the day.
Please note: All participants are volunteering at their own risk.
Let’s make nature work full circle—together!
