What we’re about

At @wherewomenbe, we honor the timeless tradition of women coming together—cultivating deep bonds, sharing wisdom, and holding space for one another with care and grace.

(Organizer: Lydia Chong)

Our Story
Imagine the women in your community coming together seated by the kitchen workbench, fiddling over fresh ingredients in preparation for a lavish meal of a prosperous event. Soak in the aroma of slow-cooked rendang entwining with the rambunctious banter that's filling the air. Observe as you and your community of women bond over shared stories of your lives, laugh without reservation at old times, or maybe even sob over remorseful woes whilst having a shoulder to cry on.

In this light, Women have been communing together in shared spaces for the longest time. As ancestral social creatures and caretakers of this land, women have been building our social ties and strengthening our community together with our gifts in cultivating connection, nurturing emotional support, and offering our divine presence for one another to be seen, heard, and consequently, adored.

Here @wherewomenbe, we aspire to foster connection and vulnerability in a wholesome, safe space where women feel comfortable to express themselves, to support one another, and to generously fill our cups with inspiration, wisdom, and harmony. This practice then grounds us gracefully in our journey we call womanhood.

Looking to be seen and heard in a safe space?

In our women's story circle, we will engage with a conversation toolkit called
The Empathy Box (created by TRIBELESS.CO).

Each woman will have the chance to share their story whilst upholding the 3 principles:
To Share Honestly, To Listen Openly, and To Respond Kindly

In this safe container, we practice care with empathy, we grant ourselves the opportunity to dive deeper with mindful query, and where ever desired, we may uplift one another through insights and wisdom respectfully.

Every experience in our women's story circle is the culmination of our unique essence. A circle's experience transforms from what each individual imbues into it and evolves into the creation of our presence in the moment together.

    About Your Host
Lydia first experienced the magic of an Empathy Box session through a MeetUp event hosted by Tom from Introverts and Conversations back in 2019. That moment sparked something deep within her — a desire to bring this kind of connection to others.

Since then, she has hosted sessions with friends, and brought her trusted conversation toolkit throughout her travels hosting women's circles in New Zealand and Australia. Now, she's back in Subang Jaya, ready to share these nurturing spaces with her local community.
