The meaning behind the White Wolf Lodge:
White Wolves are associated with Magick due to their ethereal look and association with the supernatural. In fact, wolves are among the most powerful medicine animals in many Native cultures. Because of the white wolf’s association with the moon and lunar energy, they also symbolize intuition and psychic abilities. In fact, the white wolf is the color of the crown chakra, which governs our super-conscious and our connection to the metaphysical world. The white Arctic wolf has evolved to blend in with snowy landscapes. In addition, the wolf understands the importance of being in stealth mode.
In Celtic mythology white wolves were viewed as Gods and Spirits. In some areas of Celtic mythology, especially within Irish legends, the wolf, and sometimes specifically white wolves, were associated with deities and supernatural entities, particularly figures like the Morrigan, and were seen as symbols of the wild, fierce nature, and sometimes even as warriors or spirits. For many Native cultures, the color white is representative of peace, happiness, and the Great Spirit. So, the white wolf is a beloved and revered animal.
The Celts associated the color white with the supernatural world. Wolves represent Cosmic and Lunar Energy which is also referred to as the Wolf Star or the Dog Star, as a sign that wolves were traveling to and from the spirit world. In fact, they believed the Milky Way was the path the wolves took. Hence, they called it the “Wolf Road.” Thus, they associated wolves with cosmic energy.
White Wolves also represent our Intuition and Psychic Abilities, as well as our own connection to our super-consciousness mind and higher self. In this way, these wild canines also represent spiritual enlightenment. The wolf possesses primordial wisdom – an understanding of the Universe that defies analytical thinking. Thus, they represent our ability to transcend our day-to-day thoughts to a more heightened state of awareness.
