Hour of Code: EpicMC Modly Platform

Learn coding with Minecraft! In celebration of Computer Science Education Week (https://csedweek.org/) (December 3-9, 2018), we will be hosting an Hour of Code (https://hourofcode.com) at WhizKidz Computer Center (https://whizkidzcc.com).

We are debuting EpicMC Rocks, featuring the EpicMC Modly platform at https://epicmc.rocks. Create mods, short for modifications, to the Minecraft game. Give yourself superpowers, create structures such as towers and castles, and even create mini-games like Parkour, TNT Run, Simon and more! Programming is done by dragging and connecting blocks together like a puzzle to create the mod. Learn the fundamentals of programming and even concepts like event-driven programming. This site has online material and videos to show you how!

In this meetup, we will walk you through creating a FREE account. Then we will create a colorful structure and have it built by issuing a single command!
