How to identify someone else's personality type

Details

It's one thing to know your own psychological type and another to work out someone else's. You could ask someone to do a questionnaire, but what about those you aren't close to - or who don't want to do a test? It might be a colleague or your boss, that intriguing guy you know, a potential date, a friend or even a celebrity or fictional character.

Note: we're in the upstairs hall for this session.

We last explored this topic (and for the first time properly) two and half years ago - let's do it again as we celebrate some of our 'greatest hits' in the group's 10th anniversary year.

This time round we'll focus on identifying someone else's type through communication. Some people suggest running through a mini questionnaire in your head during a conversation with someone, others listen for certain words or what the person likes to talk about, while others again keep an eye on body language. Let's swap tips and hear what you look for.

All welcome. Come and share with others (we typically break into small groups for discussion).

VENUE + KOHA
We ask for a koha, or donation, to help cover the venue costs.

We're at Thistle Hall, in the upstairs hall this time round. Enter at the side of the building on SH1/Arthur Street (around the corner from Thistle Hall’s gallery space on Cuba St).

FINDING OUT YOUR TYPE
If you'd like to get an idea of your type ahead of the session, these questionnaires below might help. (You’ll see the results of the questionnaire - their best guess as to your type, based on your answers - and you can choose to provide your email address for more info, however, you certainly don’t have to; you might simply have to scroll down past that part or click ‘Skip this step’.)

Whatever assessment you do, just be sure to remember your four letter ‘typename’ (eg INFJ or ENFP).
