FROM THE ANNEX:
Nurture your body and mind in this soothing and nurturing class offered the first Sunday of every month. We begin with 30 minutes of gentle movement, followed by a 45 minute calming, rest-inducing experience that bathes the body in sound waves from crystal singing bowls and more. Eye pillows, bolsters, and blankets are provided, but please bring a yoga mat or squishy layers! Any preferred additional props, pillows, (we love a good pair of sweats and fuzzy socks!) are encouraged so you can feel completely supported and comfortable while reclining for an extended period of time. Offered Fridays in October, December, January, and February.

Space is limited, so if you're interested, please sign up HERE soon!

What: A Sound Bath is an immersive, full-body listening experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. Sound baths can be a deeply calming and powerfully restorative practice.

Sound baths may:

  • Soothe the nervous system
  • Release tension
  • Reduce stress
  • Help process emotions
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Decrease heart rate
  • Provide a sense of peace and relaxation

What to bring:
Come dressed in cozy clothes! Cozy clothes, yoga mat, pillows or any preferred props.

What to expect:
Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before class start time to set up.
Class will begin with breathwork and a short, gentle movement session before settling in for a resonant sound experience.

About the instructor:
Rose Sierra Hart so grateful to be a part of The Annex community both as a student and a yoga instructor! Rose has been consistently practicing yoga for 12 years and completed her 200hr YTT in August 2021. She offers a vinyasa flow practice that focuses on accessibility and intuitive movement, so you can expect body-positive inclusive cues and posture variations that crescendo to upbeat music and wind down to a relaxing savasana. When Rose isn’t practicing yoga, she can be found mountain biking, rafting, hiking, camping, and skiing in the great Alaska outdoors with her little dog, Daisy.
