- We (Whole Food for Optimal Health - Baltimore Support Group Meetup) are more than 1200 people.
- We have not met in years.
- We might as well meet (on Zoom)! Let's get together and share our experiences with healthful foods.
We'll try something kind of funny: Mini-Demos!
In a full-fledged food demo, there are gorgeous plates, super-clean kitchens; There's great lighting, everything is perfectly pre-chopped... the video is carefully edited.... and it's OH-SO-MUCH-WORK. Who has time for that!?
When we do Zoom Mini-Demos, we can share real ingredients, or invisible ingredients. We can share how we've made something.... showing off real bowls, or invisible bowls, it's up to you! Just describe how you make a dish that's healthy and tasty.
The ground rules for shared recipes this group:
- Plants and mushrooms only
- No oil (I know the no oil rule is a challenge for many, but it's a good challenge.)
- No added sugar (Fruit and dried fruit welcome)
- Preference for whole food ingredients (i.e. wheat berries instead of flour. Whole wheat flour instead of white flour.)
If you want to do a full-fledged fancy demo, that is fine, too. We'll do a mix of demo types over time.
After maybe a half-dozen demos, we'll split into small Zoom Groups for conversation.
Then we'll chat a bit as a larger group. A big experiment.
Please arrive to the gathering on time, maybe a minute early.
