Hike Penitentiary Glen
Details
Penitentiary Glen got its name from early 1800 settlers because the deep gorge is so steep that is was difficult to get out of, like a penitentiary.
In the early 1900’s it was the summer home of the Halle’s (Halle Bros.), who also made it a working farm.
The hike will begin at the parking lot, near the train and playground. The hike will be around 4.5 miles, with an option for another mile at the end.
Lunch will POSSIBLY be at Tavern 6 TBD. 7592 Euclid Creek Rd (route 6) Kirtland.
