Summer in Vienna
Details
Music Director Franz Welser-Möst brings the tradition of outdoor Viennese summer concerts to Northeast Ohio in an evening of drama and elegance. Mozart’s festive Symphony No. 34 and excerpts from Richard Strauss’s pastoral opera Daphne capture the beginning and end of the golden age of Viennese music. The rest of the program features sentimental stage music, boisterous polkas, and lively waltzes by Johann Strauss, Jr., and his younger brother, Josef.

● You are allowed to bring your own food and beverage including wine and beer for Cleveland Orchestra concerts only.
● We will be seated down low on the lawn a little left of center (rubber cord cover strip) of stage.
Chairs must be low "beach type chairs" so not to block people's view.
You can rent chairs there too. Cost: $10 each.
● If you order tickets online, be sure to go to the official Cleveland Orchestra web site for the best pricing at: www.clevelandorchestra.com**
I believe tickets are around $35.00 each if purchased the day of the show at the gate. You can buy a book of ten tickets for $200.00
which comes out to $20.00 per ticket. If anyone has extra tickets, you are welcome to post in the comment section to sell.
● The Whynot's has been attending these concerts at Blossom over the years, and it makes for a wonderful summer evening.
9 out 10 recommend attending. In my opinion.
Hope you can all share in this special event.
