About Us
Our goal is to bring women security enthusiasts together to learn about everything from exploits, hacking, incident response, and forensics to the low-level tech, governance, policy, GRC—you name it! And of course, to make plenty of bad crypto jokes along the way. We’re here to build a strong community of badass women in the Netherlands, and hopefully inspire future generations to grab a keyboard and get the hacking party started!
We meet monthly in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Rotterdam, and more, sometimes online, sometimes even abroad! Are you a woman working in or curious about cybersecurity? Then by all means, come join us!
WICCA is an entirely volunteer-driven community and all our meetups are free.
Women-Only?
Our meetups are usually women-only, but since we aim to spread knowledge far and wide, we are planning on hosting many mixed events. The main idea is to create a space where everyone feels at ease and truly welcome. We’re building a strong circle of women, but we’re not an exclusive one. WICCA is, at its core, a group of badass security ladies where anyone is welcome to learn from and with us!
Focus
In our group, we focus on the positive impact of the many initiatives working to increase diversity in cybersecurity and the broader tech world. We highlight good work, solid research, and strong efforts that help our community grow and thrive. We don’t let negativity or endless debates drain our energy, we’d rather spend that time building things, learning, and lifting each other up. We goof together, we laugh together, and yes—we hack together!

Organising WICCA events comes with its share of costs—think Meetup subscription, hosting, emails, and video conferencing tools. Every contribution helps us keep things running smoothly and joyfully.
Our philosophy is simple: WICCA events will always be free. But donations do make a difference. The more support we receive, the more we can do for the community. From better tools to bigger opportunities, it all adds up.

WICCA and Unixerius are very happy to announce the return of the WICCA Summer School!
This year, to accommodate your busy summer schedules, we're offering for a one-day masterclass.
This is a women-only event.
There are many tools that modern IT teams cannot go without. Our DevOps, software development and systems administration would be unthinkable without them. Personally we would rank Git in the top 3 of those: can you imagine any IT organisation getting anything done without Git?!
In this one-day class we will cover the fundamentals of Git, useful for just about any role in IT. From developers and testers, to sysadmins and engineers.
The training will take place on Thursday, July 17th 2025.

Practical information
Unixerius are sponsoring this WICCA Summer School training; it is free to attend.A maximum of fifteen (15) participants can be accommodated.
Registration is handled through WICCA's Meetup.com, so over here.
The training takes place:
- On Thursday, July 17th 2025.
- One day, from 09:00-16:00.
- This is a women-only event.
- At MAC3Park in Almere Buiten (travel information here).
If you need a place to stay, there's a Holiday Inn Express in Almere Buiten.
That hotel is right next to train station, where you will also find the busses to MAC3Park, as well as the Check ride-sharing scooters.
Lunch will be arranged: simple sandwiches and some fruit. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.
Rules
We need at least five (5) participants for this training; otherwise it can't happen.If you sign up, you commit to being present at the training for the full duration of five days.
If you can't make it after all, be sure to cancel your registration as soon as possible, freeing up your spot for someone else.

WHY2025 is a nonprofit outdoors hacker camp taking place in Geestmerambacht, the Netherlands (approx 42km North of Amsterdam), on 8-12 August 2025. The event is organised for and by volunteers from the worldwide hacker community. Knowledge sharing, technological advancement, experimentation, connecting with your hacker peers, forging friendships and hacking (everything from computers to food) are at the core of this event.WHY2025 is the successor of GHP, HEU, HIP, HAL, WTH, HAR, OHM, SHA, and MCH making it the tenth event in the series, continuing the quadrennial hacker camp tradition in The Netherlands since 1989, a proper milestone!

A CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE THAT PUTS WOMEN’S TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT.
WICCON is a conference with an all-women speaker line-up designed to highlight women’s technical achievements in the cybersecurity field. All attendees are welcome.
WICCON is organized by WICCA, the women in cybersecurity community of 1500+ members who meet monthly to discuss all things information security. We collaborate with people, companies, and universities to offer learning opportunities for women interested in a cybersecurity career, as well as experts who want to further develop their skills. WICCA meetups are free and we welcome everybody who needs a break from the majority. Fun is our primary goal, everything else is a plus.
