The New CISO: From Dr. No to Bridge Builder?
Details
What does leadership in security really look like today? And what will it need to become tomorrow? Moving beyond the stereotype of “Dr. No,” we’ll explore how security leaders can act as connectors, enablers, and trusted advisors.
Join us for an open conversation about leadership in security at the Kiesraad together with CISO Masterclass. We’ll reflect on leadership and the future of the CISO role with room for new voices.

Fleur van Leusden is a well-known security expert and CISO, working for multiple Dutch government organisations in the past. She currently works as CISO for the Dutch Electoral Council. She also has a podcast (Dutch language) called "CISO praat" on security related subjects. She will talk us through her experiences and what she’s learned.
CISO Masterclass
Dr. Dick Brandt was the former CISO of PostNL (until 2013). Dick brings decades of hands-on experience in information security and business continuity. After starting his career at KPN Research, he went on to build the security and continuity function at TNT Post (later PostNL) from the ground up. Today, he advises organizations at a strategic level, helping them mature their security leadership.
Johan Bakker was CISO of KPN until 2011 and has over 25 years of experience in IT operations, software development, architecture, project management, R&D and consulting. Since 2001 his focus has been on information security and business continuity; an area he sees as fast-evolving across all industries.
Location (Official ID and registration are mandatory!)
The meetup will be hosted by the Kiesraad (Dutch Electoral Council) at the Zurichtoren, Muzenstraat 85, 2511 WB in The Hague.
As this is a governmental institution, attendees need to share a few details with the organizers. Please note that without this information, we cannot guarantee entry to the building. See the form upon sign up (dietary requirements can also be shared then).
This is a small meetup. Limited spots are available and women have priority registration. Please sign off if you can no longer attend so somebody else can take your place, and only sign up if you can actually make it.
