As of January 2016 our Meetup will focus mainly on the Northern areas of Charlotte and surrounding area. We origally have done events through 2015 on both the north and south sides of the city, but as Organizer I am unable to maintain activity for time and distance on the more southern areas due to more commitments and timeframe constraints in my personal life and time. If any member would ever like to host an even on the southern side, I would be happy to help plan it with you in any way I can.
Our group desires to build a community of women who have experienced the loss of their spouse or significant other. We welcome and respect women of all belief systems. As we redefine our new lives, our goal is to provide an avenue where women who understand this unique journey can meet and share their grief experience through speaking and listening to each other’s experiences and hopes for the future. We hold a monthly meeting at a local restaurant. In this meeting we strive to become acquainted, share our stories, explore social activities, and areas of interest.
Note: Our meetings will allow you to bring a guest, in case you have a widow friend who would like to know what we are all about.
