HAHAMONGNA WATERSHED PARK
We’ll walk into the the watershed area, through the willows and waterways, and see the now-greening flora of winter, in search of MUSHROOMS, and WILD FOODS, and all the unique RIPARIAN PLANTS.

During our walk, we’ll learn about the unique riparian plants, and the uses of the many plants we’ll see. We’ll see the alders, mulefat, mugwort, willow, etc. There are many other riparian plants, which we may or may not see, depending on the conditions. We know we’ll see many wild edibles that sprout at this time of the year when it’s wet, and we should see half a dozen or so mushrooms. Our plan is to cook some of the edible ones IF we find them.
There are always lots of surprises in store on these sorts of walks. Bring your own water, and dress comfortably.
This walk can be applied towards the Ethnobotany certificate.
Exact location sent upon registration.
