Foraging Walk with Sophia Fonseca

Imagine being lost in the wild: no water, food, or shelter. What would you do?
During this walk, you'll learn about plants native to south Florida. You'll learn about plants you can eat, plants to make a roof over your head, and even a plant to keep away the mosquitoes!
Sophia Fonseca is a Natural Resource Specialist at this natural area.

Those interested will meet at the head of the South Trail (by the benches and kiosk sign). Parking is available at the lot across the street as well as the grassy area adjacent to the trailhead. Hope to see you there!
