What we’re about

This group is for anyone wanting to explore or share knowledge in wild crafting, foraging, herbalism and primitive skills. Each monthly meeting will include a potluck and series of short 15min skill shares and/or talks. Topics may include (not limited to): medicinal salves, tinctures, wooden tools, weaving baskets, papermaking, wild mushroom foraging, seed saving, fermentation techniques, backyard edibles identification, natural dyes, tanning hides, wildlife tracking, alternative building techniques, and more. Members are invited to contribute their knowledge and are welcome to suggest both activities and locations. Foraging Meetups will range from short walks to extended outdoor excursions both in and outside of the city. Extended Meetups will be held for longer processes. Anyone is welcome to join except those intending to sell food/plants they gather from the wild for profit. We adhere to ethical guidelines of gathering only what is needed for personal, family use, or small trades, leaving plenty for wildlife and sustainability of ecosystems we encounter.
