Autumn Fungus Walk

Details

Enjoy an autumn stroll through Quarry Wood with local Fungi fun guy, Andrew Padmore. He'll help you spot and identify the extraordinary jewels of the forest floor. Wear suitable footwear, it might be muddy.
Always be concerned about touching fungi; some can be very poisonous, but many edible ones can be found in UK woodlands, such as the one in the photo. Hopefully we will soon have a bit of rain to keep the woods damp.
This is always a really popular event, so get your name down to secure your place, and don't forget your basket!.
As usual, we are grateful for any donations please (by transfer to 'Wild Cookham, Co-op Bank, 08-92-99, a/c 67226924) or cash on the day.
There are a couple of parking spaces at the top of Grubwood Lane (SL6 9UB) and a few more further down. If you're able to walk or car-share, please do!
