Bird Watching at Little Marlow Gravel Pit
Details
Join John Harris to see what can be found on the waters of this nearby nature reserve and in the surrounding vegetation and woodland.
Common Terns should be back, along with aerial specialists such as Swifts, Swallows and House Martins, with Reed Warblers and Cetti's warblers in song.
All sorts of interesting species should be visible on the wader scrapes.
We meet in the pubic Spade Oak car park in Coldmoorholme Lane just past the Spade Oak Hotel. (SL8 5PS - SU883875).
The footpath is usually very muddy so suitable footwear is essential and do bring your binoculars and cameras. There will be an opportunity to sample the pub near the car park afterwards but if planning to lunch there, do book ahead just in case (01628 520090)
To help raise funds for other WildCookham events and activities that help protect our local environment, there is a £3 fee for this event. Please pay in advance www.justgiving.com/wildcookham .
