Celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day - Battlemead

Led by Lars Ahlgren, we will be exploring Battlemead Common for early morning bird song from 04:30am. As there is no car park on site, we will be parking on Sheephouse Road near its junction with Lower Cookham Road, the A4094. (SU 90014 83615 ) and then walking c100m north along the A4094 to the entrance to Battlemead on the right hand side. where Lars will be waiting.
Please remember when parking, it is a residential street and folk will be asleep in bed. Please, no slamming of doors or conversations either on arrival or departure 2 hours later, saving chats until on site at Battlemead. Check the forecast for the day to ensure suitable clothing and footwear, and although it will be mainly sounds we will be pursuing, do bring binoculars as obviously birds will be moving around once it is daylight.
