Birdwatching at Lavell's Nature Reserve
Details
Following last year's successful visit to this nature reserve, John Harris invites you on a birding adventure around the lakes and scrubland of this small reserve adjacent to Dinton Pastures Country Park, on the outskirts of Wokingham. The site has an enviable record for birds and other wildlife so it will be interesting to see 'What's About'.
Wear suitable clothes for the predicted weather and do bring binoculars, the Merlin app and cameras.
We will use the Watersports car park off Sandford Lane, Wokingham, RG10 0SU, which is a chargeable facility (£7.20 for 3 hours). There is a smaller car park on the right hand side but it is a bit more expensive. To reduce costs and number of spaces, it is highly recommended that members travel together.
There are toilets and cafe facilities on site. (https://www.wokinghamcountryside.co.uk/dinton-pastures-country-park)
The cost of this event is £5 per person, please bring cash on the day or pay beforehand at justgiving.com/wildcookham.
