One of the joys of wine is that vineyards are often found in the world’s most scenic landscapes which, in many cases, also happen to provide an excellent habitat for birds. This event will bring the two together and feature a tasting of a diverse array of wines, accompanied by slides of the bird species most likely to be found around the vineyards they come from.
Competition between countries to be included is fierce and the final selection is yet to be made, but you can expect to learn more about the wines and birdlife from countries such as Spain, France, Greece, Ukraine, South Africa, Argentina, China …… and, of course, England!

The evening will be hosted by two locals regarded as experts in their respective fields – Richard Bampfield MW on wine and Brian Clews on birds – and will take place on Thursday 12 November in Holy Trinity Parish Centre, Cookham at 7.00pm. Tickets £15 available through our website or call Lizzie Landy on 07957 315511.
