What we’re about
Join Wilde Outdoors & Adventures (For Gay Men & Allies) and leap into some of the most exciting outdoor and indoor adventures Canada has to offer — from kayaking on shimmering lakes and winding rivers to tackling electrifying obstacle courses — all while building genuine friendships along the way. Inspired by the daring spirit of Oscar Wilde, we live boldly, chase new experiences, and sometimes push beyond our comfort zones to discover what we’re truly capable of.
Our community welcomes gay men and allies who share a love for the outdoors or are ready to try thrilling indoor adventures in a supportive environment. Bring your positive energy to every event, whether it’s a quick city adventure or an out-of-town escape. Some trips will take us farther afield for overnight stays, with carpooling to make things easy — and volunteer drivers always earn our gratitude.
We host activities year-round, including kayaking on Ontario’s scenic waterways, hiking and trail walks in and around the GTA, cycling adventures, and white-water rafting. Indoors, we mix it up with rock climbing, obstacle courses, trampoline parks, and archery.
By joining Wilde Outdoors & Adventures, you’ll meet like-minded people who share your passion for staying active and exploring. Our events are designed to help you discover new activities, build lasting friendships, and stay healthy — all while having fun in a positive, welcoming space.

See all- Kayaking Adventure on the Humber River (with rental)Toronto Adventures, Toronto M8X 0A5, ON
Join me for a magical sunset kayaking adventure on Thursday, August 29th at 6:00 PM as we kick off the long weekend with a refreshing sunset paddle on Humber River. There's something truly special about gliding along the calm, meandering waters of the Humber River as the golden hour light dances on the surface, and all the worries of the work week simply melt away. The Humber River is one of Toronto's best-kept secrets, where you'll be amazed at how quickly you feel like you've escaped the city. As we paddle, keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife that calls this area home - we often spot majestic blue herons, curious deer coming down to drink, and if we're lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of the industrious beavers that have made this river their home. The river's peaceful marshlands and protected inlets create the perfect backdrop for our evening adventure, offering a tranquil refuge. Please arrive at 5:30 PM for our group introduction and check-in.
If you’re new to paddling, please indicate that in the form.
After we've worked up an appetite from our paddle, we'll carpool together to a nearby dining spot just 10 minutes away where we can continue to socialize. Rental cost is $ 47.60. Max 15 people.
