Backpacking Elfin Lakes Trail (Garibaldi Park, BC Mainland)

Elfin Lake trail in Garibaldi Provincial Park near Squamish is ~20KM out & back intermediate difficulty hike. Depending on the snow conditions, snowshoes / micro spikes It may or may not needed in certain sections.
HIGH-LEVEL PLAN:
Day-1 (June 13th, Friday) take morning ferry to Vancouver, start hiking from the trailhead by early afternoon, reach Elfin Lake campground by the late afternoon/evening,
Day-2 (June 14th, Saturday) nearby day-hikes and camp overnight.
Day-3 (June 15th, Sunday) hike back and return.
Backcountry camping reservation (https://camping.bcparks.ca/) at Elfin Lake campground is required. It has a shelter with bunks but BCParks reservation system shows availability only on June 13 (Friday) as of now. So, be prepared to book/use tent pads instead. Each hiker is expected to be self-sufficient with all necessary gear for this backpacking trip.
While carpooling is encouraged, additional hikers willing to drive own vehicle will be required. We will schedule an online group call between confirmed participants ahead of the trip to discuss gear and logistics etc. In the meantime, please note the following:

1. Everyone must download, review, sign and submit the mandatory declaration & waiver forms while sending the RSVP.

3. Everyone needs to pay their share of the cost for the overnight camping and any applicable permit fee from BC Parks. For those doing carpool, the fuel cost will be shared between all the people sharing the car ride.
4. Pay EVENT FEE: $10 per participant for all multi-day/overnight events. DISCLAIMER
Events are led by volunteers who have no special training such as first aid, survival, etc. Participants are expected to be self-sufficient and competent hikers who accept the risks and hazards associated with an outdoor activity, along with the regular use of rough and steep trails in isolated areas and adverse conditions. The organizer may refuse participation where there are concerns that may impact safety and well-being of the group. The number of slots on this hike will be limited.
