This Wilderness Institute Meetup is for everyone who loves nature and the outdoors!
Please join us on a Wilderness Adventure to learn new wilderness skills, hike new trails, meet new friends, and gain valuable knowledge on how to have a safe and well prepared outdoor adventure! The Wilderness Institute provides Wilderness Education, Training and Advocacy. Our outdoor recreation programs, activities and experiential events include eco-tourism, nature and fitness hiking, outdoor education, adventure seminars, wilderness survival, rock climbing, ropes courses, emergency preparedness, community service and more!

#### Yoga in the Stars and Star Walk
Join the Wilderness Institute for Yoga in the Stars, a convergence of astrology and yoga, where the mind, body, soul, and cosmos meet. This nurturing class at The Wilderness Institute fuses hatha-yin yoga with astrological energy. You’ll leave class feeling more aligned with the cosmic energy and prepared to put your best foot forward.
After an hour of yoga, students gather to reflect and discuss the current astrological weather, take a short sunset stroll, star gaze, and look for Zodiac constellations.
Each student is provided a chart and astrology report to review and take home. Through somatic experiencing and a holistic embodied practice, you’ll truly feel at one with nature and yourself.
This course is presented by the non-profit Wilderness Institute and takes place at the Santa Fe Tree House Camp & Wilderness Preserve.

#### Introduction to Camping and Campcraft Skills, an Overnight Adventure
The mountains are calling, and I must go!
It’s not too late to hone up on your outdoor skills and enjoy the beauty of nature this summer on this fun and easy campout.
At The Wilderness Institute, learn all you need to know about camping basics from A-Z, including tent site selection, set up, meal prep, gear selection, and basic wilderness first aid. We will use a map and compass to learn how to plan short hikes and what to do if you lose your way. Leave No Trace wilderness ethics and safety will be our mantra.
A camping and campcraft manual and dutch oven dessert will be provided.
Bring your own food and camping gear, and dress for outdoor living and short hikes. A basic camping and hiking equipment list will be provided. Tent, sleeping bag, and other gear is available to rent on-site, if needed. (Note: Flush toilets and hot showers are also available for your use!)
