#### Wilderness Survival Overnight

Survival is an experience that combines personal attitude with knowledge and technical skills. Join us at The Wilderness Institute on this weekend overnight campout to learn important wilderness skills and strategies to keep you safe in emergency situations and natural hazards.

Using the outdoors as our classroom, you’ll utilize hands-on activities to learn such life-saving skills as building a shelter, matchless fire building and campfire cooking, finding and purifying water, making traps and snares, applying basic wilderness first aid, and signaling for rescue.

You’ll also learn how to make your own mini survival kit, enjoy some freeze dried snacks, and come away with the knowledge to thrive in the wilderness!

A basic camping and hiking equipment list will be provided. Tent, sleeping bag, and other gear are available to rent on-site, if needed.

This course is presented by the non-profit Wilderness Institute and takes place at the Santa Fe Tree House Camp & Wilderness Preserve.
