Join us to acquire knowledge and practice in the art and skill of Fire-making. We start with a short discussion on the principles and purposes of fire-making, materials choice, and how-to get and keep your fire going. Then, after a short demo, you will have ample opportunity to practice both primitive methods (bow and drill, and hand drill) and modern methods (firesteel, magnesium bar, flint and steel, magnifier, and some lesser-known). It's a comprehensive experience, delving into an awesome and important outdoor skill.
This outing is for all levels of interest, from the curious novice to outdoor enthusiast. For adults and for children 12 years and older (children must be accompanied by an adult)
