WILD EDIBLE, MEDICINAL, AND USEFUL PLANTS
From food to medicine to utilitarian uses, this outing is all about plants. The outing starts with an easy-rated walkabout to identify and explore some of the common local plants and their uses, and will include a harvest or sampling of the edible ones. Proper harvesting techniques and ethics are also covered.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to make and take home a plant salve, use natural plant fiber to make cordage/rope, and simply get an overall ethnobotanical understanding of some common plants.
This class is presented in an easy-paced way, allowing time to fully understand the gifts the plant world provides.
