O: Day Hike in Angeles National Forest – Angeles Crest Highway to Josephine Saddle via Colby Canyon

Meet at: For carpooling, MEET 8:00 AM in La Canada on Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) and Milmada Dr, Just N of Foothill Fwy (I-210).

Moderately paced 7 1/2 mile hike round trip with an elevation gain/loss of 2100 feet. We will hike from the parking area on Angeles Crest Highway up Colby Canyon, crisscrossing the creek, then rise up the trail between Strawberry and Josephine Peaks and then continue on fire road to Josephine Peak.We should be back to Angeles Crest Highway between 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Wear sturdy shoes or lug sole boots and bring lunch, snacks, and a minimum of three liters of water. Sierra Club liability waiver must be signed by all participants and an Adventure Pass must be displayed on dashboards. Rain cancels.
