Join us on our seventh hike in the Wilderness Adventures Section 2024 Saturday in the Santa Monica Mountains series, a strenuous 10 mile, 2300' gain hike taking the Leacock Trail into Temescal Canyon and on to Inspiration Point in Will Rogers State Park.

Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude. Rain, excessive heat, or Red Flag alert cancels.

Meet at 8:00 AM at the Leacock Trailhead at the end of Bienveneda Avenue (Sunset Blvd mile west of Temescal Canyon Road, 1 mile north on Bienveneda to gate at Villa Floresta; park on street).

This is a Back Country hike, and a medical form is required. Please print it out and carry it with you. Copies of the form will be available to fill out at the trailhead as well. You can download the form here. https://tinyurl.com/ycy985mt.

COVID-19 safety measures

In going on this outing you are potentially on a trip with individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing. The leader can not reveal the status or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. If someone is experiencing any possible COVID symptoms or is sick, they should not attend the outing. The participant is responsible for contacting the leader to report a positive COVID test.
