Saturdays in the Santa Monica Mountains 2025 #3 - Nicholas Pond (RESCHEDULED)

This event has been RESCHEDULED up one week to Saturday February 22nd. This was done to accomodate a hike and trail maintenance event on March 1st. Apologies for the schedule change, and hope all the RSVPs can make the new date.

Hike #3 in the 2025 Saturday in the Santa Monicas series, is a moderate 8 mile, 2000’ gain out and back hike with a couple loops starting at Leo Carrillo and hiking to scenic Nicholas Pond for lunch with spectacular ocean views and spring wildflowers.

Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude. Rain, excessive heat, or Red Flag alert cancels.

We meet at 8:00 AM at the Leo Carrillo State Park parking lot (sometimes there is a wait to unlock the gate) or parkfor free on the side of the road on Pacific Coast Highway.
