Stairhike: Return to Blue Heaven #1 - 2.8 miles, 1.5 hours

Our Dodgers climbed to a World Series win and now they get to coast in the glory. In a similar vein, we will climb our way to the top of Mt Washington via steep streets and numerous staircases, then coast the long winding streets, trails, and stairs back to our start. 466 steps! We will pass the old funicular station (should they bring back the train?), the Self Realization Fellowship center, and a park, with views of LA, Verdugo Peak, and Mount Lukens along the way. Expect lively conversation about what made this championship so wonderful. For starters: Clayton Kershaw has won three World Series Rings. In the history of the Dodgers franchise, both in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, has there been another pitcher who has won more World Series Rings? Meet on Avenue 45 near Taco Fiesta at 6:30 pm, there is limited street parking so you can try the lot that Taco Fiesta shares with Superior Grocers (4501 N Figueroa St, LA 90065).
