Stairhike: Return to Blue Heaven #6 - 2.4 mi, 1 hour
Details
This is a green, leafy walk through one of Pasadena’s western-most neighborhoods, filled with charming stairways and a virtual arboretum of mixed tree varieties. Meet at the Post Office, 7435 N. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90041. On this final hike we
celebrate the double plays ending both game 6 and game 7 of the World Series. In game 6, Kike Hernandez caught the 2nd out of the 9th inning then picking off Addison Barger at second base where Miguel Rojas made a stretch and off-balance catch for the 3rd out to end the game. In the bottom of the 11th inning of game 7, Alejandro Krik hit a broken-bat grounder to Mookie Betts who fielded the ball, stepped on second base for the force out, and then fired to first to complete the double play and end the series.
Bring water, adventurous spirit, strong legs, a sharp eye and a love of stair hikes. Flashlight or headlamp suggested. No restrooms.
