Basic Rope and Lashing Skills

Like our last meetup, we are limiting this to just 15 people. Register early to make sure you have a spots.

We are going to talk basic rope and lashing skills. If possible, bring some rope to lash poles together. We will discuss how to cut up 100 yards of paracord for your kit.

Take a look at how to tie a clove hitch and timber hitch before our session.

Work in a group of a few people, or by yourself. Whatever you like.

If you have any hiking poles or poles that will work for lashing projects, please bring them. I will have poles and rope to share.

One suggestion was to have a "Knot" for each Meet Up. This Meetup's knot will be the bowline. See if you can learn it before the MeetUp. If not, no worries, we will practice it before the Meet Up starts.

We will be meeting at the same place as last time - Boch Park in Schaumburg. We will meet at the shelter which is near the playground.

Cost will be $10 again. This goes to off set the cost of this meet up site and supplies.
