Muskoka Rescue Dogs Hike
Details
Please note the only way to register for this adventure is on our website.
Join us for a spectacular spring hike through the Muskoka wilderness alongside some very special rescue pups!
We’ll meet our four-legged guides from a local rescue for a gentle 7 km journey along the winding Muskoka River. It is a rare chance to both get out of the city and give these dogs some well-deserved love & adventure.
The team from the rescue will join us to share stories about the dogs and the incredible work that goes into finding them forever homes. After the hike, we will offer plenty of head scratches before heading to a nearby waterfall for a peaceful lunch. It is the perfect setting to switch off and soak in the stillness of the woods.
This will be a relaxed three-hour walk on mostly flat terrain, accessible for various fitness levels.
$10 from each registrant's adventure payment will be donated to the rescue to support them in their goal of finding good forever homes for dogs in need.
Please note that to keep the rescue dogs calm and focused, we do not allow personal pets.

About Wilderness Union
Wilderness Union is deliberate about building an outdoors community that connects you to the life-changing magic of the outdoors and helps you find your people.
Members range from 20-40 years old. The group is a mix of GTA locals and newcomers to Toronto from within Canada and abroad.
Attendance numbers on Meetup don't reflect our actual event attendance - we typically have 15-20 community members at each event. Large enough that there's someone new to meet but small enough that it's not overwhelming!
