Wildflower - is a peer support group for women who have experienced mother loss through death in childhood or adolescence (before age 21).
Available in both Vancouver and Vancouver (Mid) Island, Wildflower’s vision is to provide a confidential, compassionate, and continuously enriching community for women who experienced early mother loss. Our hope is that this group - inspired by author Hope Edelman’s international Motherless Daughters network - will serve as a safe place where we can support each other through past and new shared experiences, regardless of what stage we are at in our healing journey.
We offer events and activities like coffee house chats, guest speakers, luncheons, walks on the beach, writing workshops, and more to: build a consistent and reliable support network of meaningful relationships surrounding this life-long, life-altering event; share powerful personal experience, wisdom, and insights; educate and empower through information and resource sharing; and celebrate our resilience... have fun!
We hope you will consider joining us.
“You are one of me.... When four or five motherless women sit together in a room, the camaraderie is nearly instantaneous. Finally, they say... others who understand.”
