YORKSHIRE DALES: Spring Foraging Workshop
Details
**THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT: ***
Join the Yorkshire Dales Wildish Club for our first foraging session of the year as we head out into the landscape to discover the wild foods of early spring.
Guiding us on this seasonal walk is professional forager Nicola, who has been teaching and working with wild food for over ten years. Nicola has led several workshops with us over the past four years and is known for her exceptional knowledge, engaging teaching style, and ability to help people see the abundance growing all around them.
Early spring is a wonderful time to start foraging. As the landscape wakes up after winter, a variety of edible plants begin to emerge, offering fresh flavours and exciting ingredients straight from the wild.
During the morning we’ll explore the area around Pateley Bridge, learning how to safely identify a range of seasonal wild foods and discovering how they can be used in everyday cooking.
Nicola will share tips on sustainable and responsible foraging, along with ideas for simple recipes and ways to incorporate wild ingredients into your kitchen.
This is a relaxed and friendly session, perfect for beginners as well as those who have done a little foraging before and would like to build their confidence and knowledge.
Expect a gentle walk, plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and a chance to see the landscape in a whole new way.
