As this is an Omakase (leave-it-to-me) tour, I’ll guide you to special spots on the day☺

① Tanabata Festival & Summer Festival🎋
You can enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of lanterns and the footwashing ritual on the Mitarashi river✨

② Traditional Hanamachi & Temple Walk👟
I will bring you to the serene Hanamachi where Maiko and Geiko work and spirit welcoming ceremony 精霊迎え🏮

☆The organizer is Government Licensed Guide (English)🗣️
I will take photos with SONY Full-Frame Camera and share them in the Meetup later, so please feel free to use them📸

※The event will be cancelled in case of heavy rain⚠
In case of cancellation, I will comment by 22:00 p.m. the day before the event.

※The organizer will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur during the event⚠

七夕や提灯のライトアップ、御手洗川への足つけ燈明神事など幻想的な雰囲気をお楽しみ頂けます✨

② 伝統的な花街 & お寺へ散歩👟
落ち着いた格式の高い花街、精霊迎えなどもご案内致します🏮

☆主催者はプロのガイド: 全国通訳案内士(英語)です🗣️
SONYフルサイズ一眼で写真撮影も行います📸
後日Meetupに共有しますので、ご自由にお使いください☺

※大雨の場合は中止となります⚠
中止の場合: 前日22時までにコメント致します。

① Tanabata Festival & Summer Festival🎋
You can enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of lantern lights and night market✨

☆Tanabata is an annual event on the night of July 7 associated with the legend that Orihime and Hikoboshi meet each other across the Milky Way🎋 People write their wishes on tanzaku strips of paper and decorate them on bamboo leaves, and pray to the stars🌟
In Kyoto, some shrines hold the Tanabata festival based on the old lunar calendar🌃

☆Mitarashi Footwashing Ritual: purify your body and soul with the pure water of the Mitarashi river, light a candle, and dedicate it with your wish🕯

※Entrance fee: 500 yen (For those who wish to participate)
Please bring a towel as your feet will get wet.
Those who do not participate, please wait and enjoy the night market and other activities ⛩

② Traditional Hanamachi & Temple Walk👟

☆Hanamachi: A district where maiko and geiko perform their craft in the tatami room and entertain their customers👘

☆Spirit Welcoming Ceremony 精霊迎え: This is a Kyoto custom to pay homage to the spirits of ancestors to welcome them🏮

☆七夕: 年に一度 (7月7日の夜に)、織姫と彦星が天の川を渡って出会うという伝説にちなんだ行事です🎋 短冊に願い事を書き、笹の葉に飾り付けて、星に祈りを捧げます🌟
京都では旧暦に基づき七夕を開催する神社があります🌃

☆足つけ燈明神事: 御手洗川の清らかな水で身心を浄め、ロウソクに火をつけ、願いを込めて奉納します🕯

※料金500円 (希望者のみ)
参加者は足が濡れるので、タオルをご持参ください。
参加しない人は、夜市などを楽しみながらお待ちください⛩

② 伝統的な花街 & お寺へ散歩👟

☆花街: 舞妓さん・芸妓さんがお座敷で芸を披露したり、お客様をもてなしたりするお茶屋が集まる街の事です👘

☆精霊迎え: ご先祖様の霊を迎え入れる為に参詣する京都の風習です🏮

・Registration is required to attend⚠
※Those under 18 years of age are not allowed to participate.

・Cancellations must be made by 22:00 p.m. the day before the event🙇‍♀️
※Please refrain from cancellations after that time or no-shows.
※If you are unable to attend, please change to "Not Going".

・If you do not follow the rules, if you are double-booked (have reservations for other meetup events on the same day and time), or if you are on the waiting list (due to various adjustments), I may change your status to "Not Going".
