Pumpkin boat race

Is anyone interested in making a trip up to Tualatin for the pumpkin boat race? I have never been, but it might be fun and would be an easier trip by car pooling. People carve out giant pumpkins into crude boats and race them across a lake. I believe that the actual race is from noon to 2, so we can discuss actual departure and return times later. They are supposed to have food and other activities, but since I have not been to an event cannot vouch for what to expect. But if anyone wants more information, they have a website.
