Silverton is a small historic town about 15 miles from Silver Falls State Park. This quaint town has over 20 murals and the walk passes many of them. The route meanders through Coolidge-McClaine Park and crosses Silver Creek three times (once on a covered pedestrian bridge). You will pass the library, an historic railroad station (now the Chamber of Commerce) and a Veteran's' Memorial, as well as many lovely homes.
Driving Directions: From the north on I-5 take Woodburn Exit 271. Follow the signs east along Hwy. 214. At the stop sign turn right on "C" Street to the traffic light on Silverton Rd. Go straight up the hill, Westfield Street. Safeway is on the right. From the south on I-5 take the Market Street exit #256 (Salem). Follow the signs east along Hwy. 213 to Silverton. At the traffic light turn right on Westfield Street.
