Description:
5K rated 1A; 10K rated 2B Rated 2 for moderate hills and well groomed trails that may have some rocks.
You'll see the sea, the river and the bay as you walk both costs of Newport along Nye Beach and through Old Town, along the Bayfront, past Yaquina Head Lighthouse and through Yaquina Bay State Park. There is a 2K beach option available at lower tides and dry weather.
Directions: From I-5, take Hwy. 34/20 west to the coast. Turn left (south) onto Hwy. 101. Turn right (west) at Case Street. Turn right (north) at Elizabeth. Ask for the start box at the front desk.
