Lakeline Park--Cedar Park
Details
Join Scott Johnson on this trip to Lakeline Park ( Muir Lake) in Cedar Park.
Lakeline Lake is a surprisingly productive stopover site because it offers:
- Open water for early waterfowl
- Surrounding willows and riparian edges for warblers and flycatchers
- Adjacent grassy areas that hold sparrows and late-season passerines
- Good visibility for scanning rafts of ducks and grebes
- This is one of those “transition window” outings where you can catch two seasons at once — the tail end of migration and the first wave of winter residents. Lakeline Lake is especially good for detecting the very first waterfowl arrivals in Williamson County
